ここでは仮定法の倒置等の表現に分類されない純粋な倒置表現を扱います。

so inversion

これは倒置によって繰り返し同じ動詞を使うのを避ける表現です。

eg. Tom has a cold and so does his wife.
eg. Tom likes cheese and so does his wife.
eg. Tom plays football and so does his son.

通常は既に登場している動詞を do/does で受けますが do/does 以外だと have のみこの様な倒置表現が見受けられます。

eg. Tom has a cold and so has his wife.
= Tom has a cold and so does his wife.

正しこの用法の have は old fashioned であったり formal な表現となります。

因みに過去完了形の場合は寧ろ do/does は使えず have しか使えません。TODO: 半法助動詞

eg. She has got a car, so has he.
eg. x so does he.

所謂強調構文による倒置です。

Until my last trip, I had traveled with no phone.

until my most recent trip there, I hadn’t seen them in six years.
