用語・基本機能を簡単に説明しておきます。

the ship having arrived = on the arrival of the ship に置き換えられて embarked が発生する時間を定義しています。

メモ

• 分詞で時制を表したい場合は having Vpp を使用する。これで主節より前に起こっている事を表す。
